Santa Claus is coming to town, thanks to his local pharmacy
It is likely Santa will be fit and healthy, if a little tipsy, this Christmas Eve as over 12,000 prescriptions were filled in the North Pole this year.

The town of North Pole, Alaska is known for being the place where it’s Christmas 365 days of the year.

Whether this brings out the Christmas cheer or the Grinch in its population of 2,210 in-Pharmatechnologist.com can’t tell you, but what we can let you in on is the answer to our Christmas Competition: How many prescriptions were filled in North Pole in 2014?

The answer, according to Richard Holm, Manager of North Pole Prescription Lab and Compounding Pharmacy, is 12,060.

While none of our entrants got it spot on, the top three closest were all just dozens out and a cuddly pathogen courtesy of www.GiantMicrobes.com will therefore be winging its way to:

  • Thomas Goes from Genentech
  • James Hoch from Clinipace
  • A Senior Manager from an SME pharma firm, who asked not to be named

Thanks again to everyone who entered and commiserations to those who didn’t win a cuddly dose of syphilis or the common cold.

Have a healthy Christmas and see you all in the New Year!
