BioNano Genomics
Genome-mapping company BioNano Genomics has found a new Chief Commercial Officer in Terry Salyer.
Salyer was formerly VP of Sales at ProteinSimple. Before that she held the same role at ForteBio and Eksigent Technologies.
BioNano’s Irys system for mapping genes is installed in 32 institutions in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
"The ability to robustly discover structural variations and to complete genome assemblies has made BioNano's Irys System an essential tool to advance genomic research and applications," said Erik Holmlin, Oresident and CEO. "We look forward to working with Terry, who will lead and build BioNano's worldwide sales teams for significant growth and adoption of the Irys System."
BioNano says its own genome maps can reveal clinically relevant information often missed by other tools about the so-called “inaccessible genome”, including genes, promoters, regulatory elements, the length and location of long areas of repeats, and viral integration sites.
