Metabolium
Metabolium has named Khadidja Romari as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Scientific Director.
The biotechnology company develops new processes and products to licence to pharma and supplement manufacturers. It recently developed Alogselen, a process which combines antioxidant properties of organic selenium with microalgae, and licenced the tech for use in human nutrition.
Romari was previously scientific advisor to Dominique Duvauchelle, CEO of Metabolium. She has over 20 years of experience in product development in pharma, cosmetics, supplement and related industries. Her expertise is in isolating, cultivating and valorising cyanobacteria, microalgae, mushrooms and bacteria originating from different environments.
Before joining Metabolium, Romari helped to develop American companies such as Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, Albany Molecular Research and Targeted Growth.
Since returning to France in 2010 she has led scientific development at Fermentalg and later at Greensea.
