CRO Pharmaceutical Product Development has hired ex-UCB VP Michael Gold as vice president of global product development.
Gold previously spent two years at UCB Bioscience as vice president of central nervous system therapies. He has also worked for Allon Therapeutics as vice president and chief medical officer, and for GSK as medicines development leader for Alzheimer’s disease and vice president of neurosciences. Gold has also held clinical research roles at Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
“Mike’s broad experience in the development of new medicines spans a variety of neurologic conditions,” said Rob Dow, senior vice president, global product development for PPD “and his expertise in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, is of great value to our clients, as we work together to advance treatment options for these debilitating diseases.”
