Advanced Clinical
Contract research organisation Advanced Clinical has established an Advanced Clinical University and hired Melissa Mauriber to lead its educational programme.
“Clinical research associate” (CRA) was named in 2013 as the ninth best job in America, but while demand is high, there is a shortage of candidates.
In her role as vice president of clinical operations, quality and talent development, Mauriber will be in charge of developing CRAs with skills in risk-based monitoring and complex trials, especially for oncology, CNS and rare diseases.
Before joining Advanced Clinical, she was executive director of clinical monitoring at inVentiv Health Clinical and has also worked for PharmaNet and Medex Clinical Trial Services.
