Wuxi sets up drug supplier network to ease pharma sourcing
The idea is to provide pharmaceutical firms with a list of chemical suppliers that have rated according to a system developed by Wuxi over the past 15 years.
At present the network – operated by Wuxi’s LabNetwork subsidiary - is made up of eight China-based suppliers, however the aim is to allow more manufacturers to join in due course.
Drug industry users are able to assess the suppliers via an online eCommerce platform that also allows them to place and manage orders according to LabNetwork head Xuanjia Peng.

He told us that: "We assess the suppliers depend on the historical KPIs they serviced WuXi, like quality, on time delivery, SKUs etc."
