DZS Clinical Services launched its enhanced ClinPlus 3.1 eClinical software at DIA 2016 this week in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The ClinPlus eClinical Platform combines electronic data capture, a clinical trial management system, an interactive web response system and eTMF functionality into a single platform.

According to Greg Ambra, M.S., Vice President, Clinical Operations, DZS Clinical Services, “As a full-service CRO with proprietary software, our clients are always looking to us for effective ways to improve the quality of clinical research through innovative technology solutions and process optimization.”

Combining EDC, CTMS, IWRS, eTMF and Supply Management functionality in a single platform, allowed the company “to simplify our process and at the same time improve data transparency and report flexibility,” Ambra told us.

Additionally, a single platform reduces set-up and administration time required and increases overall efficiency by having all information in a single repository, according to DZS .

A unified system also eliminates the complexities and limitations associated with integrating disparate systems and provides a wider array of metrics and near real-time visibility of all data within a single system,” Ambra added.

The system is delivered via a compliant private cloud and users have a single sign-in to access eClinical functionality. The system provides real-time visibility to key performance indicators to “proactively identify issues and risks at an early stage and improves data quality through increased flexibility, transparency and process optimization,” said Ambra, who added that the company worked to design the system from a user’s perspective.

This maximizes user acceptance and minimizes training requirements,” Ambra added. “We know appropriate technology combined with excellent service is critical to producing high-quality data results in clinical research.”
