Luke Miels as GSK’s new President of Global Pharma
As new appointed President, Global Pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline, Luke Miels will be will be responsible for a portfolio of medicines and vaccines operations in over 100 markets, reporting to the UK firm’s CEO.
Luke is currently Executive Vice President (EVP) of AstraZeneca’s European business, previously serving as EVP of Global Product and Portfolio Strategy, Global Medical Affairs and Corporate Affairs.
His transition to GSK is set for April, in line with the confirmation of GSK’s interim CEO Emma Walmsley‘s position.
Luke joined AstraZeneca from Roche, where he was Regional VP Asia Pacific for the Pharma Division. Before this, he held positions at Sanofi-Aventis, in Asia Pacific and the US. Luke also co-led the US integration of Sanofi and Aventis.
