Bbc license suspended by UK drug regulator

The UK MHRA has suspended Bbc Pharmaceutical Services Limited’s distribution license. 

The drug wholesaler had its Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA) – WDA (H) 27935 - suspended on Friday​ according to an update on the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) website.

According to its website, Bbc Pharmaceutical Services – which is not part of the like-named UK broadcasting corporation – supplies generic medicines and over-the-counter (OTC) products to pharmacies and hospitals in the UK and overseas.

A Bbc spokesman contacted us to say the firm has terminated its license and ceased trading.
