The Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium
The Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) has announced that David R. Bobbitt, MSc, MBA will join the global data standards organization as its new chief executive officer.
Bobbitt was previously the president of the SCORE Foundation in Washington, DC.
“CDISC standards are transforming the dialogue between sponsors and regulators to make the approval process for new drugs more efficient,” Bobbitt told Outsourcing-Pharma.com.
The new CEO’s goals include improving the user experience so updating and using CDISC standards become more manageable for its members and partners.
“I also plan to look at our educational offerings so we can help regulators, CROs, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders gain deeper, more nuanced understanding of standards. Finally, we will listen more closely to the voice of our members and other customers to better inform offerings and communications,” Bobbitt added.
