YPrime has released a new cloud-based platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solution that integrates data across various eClinical systems.

According to the company, the new tool, YP Connect, incorporates a real-time open architecture to integrate data from various eClinical systems, such as EDC, IRT, eCOA, and CTMS.

Shawn Blackburn, YPrime CEO and co-founder, told Outsourcing-Pharma.com the company’s customers regularly voice challenges with clinical data integration.

In recent years, most sponsors have increased the number of data collection systems they use in clinical trials. As a result, they experience varying levels of integration challenges across disparate systems with incompatible formats,” he said.

As Blackburn explained, converting incompatible, fragmented data into usable formats for review and analysis by clinical teams can involve significant effort. However, he said YP Connect is different from similar solutions because it is vendor agnostic.

Many technology providers and CROs have tools to integrate data, but the service is limited to projects where their services and products are used,” Blackburn explained. “Simply put, the integration service can be used by sponsors or CROs, even if they don’t use our eClinical products.”
