Boyds: Elaine Harper & Jayne Hunt
UK-based drug development consultants Boyds has announced two appointments at its Cambridge office.
Elaine Harper has accepted the position of associate director of programme management at the firm.
Harper joins Boyds from Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, where she was responsible for a number of global gene therapy projects. Her work history includes stints at James Black Foundation, Syntaxin and hIVO.
She has experience in therapeutic areas such oncology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, inflammation and virology, as well as knowledge of biologics, and gene and cell therapies.
Boyds has also appointed an associate director of regulatory affairs, Jayne Hunt.
Hunt has previously worked for Phytopharm, Merck Generics, Lundbeck, Takeda, Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) and Parexel in roles where she focused on non-clinical, clinical, labelling and safety activities.
Boyds consultants focus on product development, statistics and data management, regulatory affairs, regulatory medical writing, medical monitoring support, business support and training, for the development of pharmaceutical and biotechnology medicinal products, and medical devices.
Areas of interest include gene therapy, cell therapy, recombinant proteins, antibodies and biosimilars.
