InVivo Therapeutics: Richard Toselli
Research and clinical-stage biotechnology firm InVivo Therapeutics has appointed Richard Toselli as chief medical officer, to manage its clinical and regulatory strategy.
Before joining the Cambridge, Massachusetts, US-based firm, which focuses on developing treatments for spinal cord injuries, the board-certified neurological surgeon served as chief medical officer for Cochlear Limited.
Other industry related experience includes a five-year stint at Sanofi, and positions at Covidien Surgical, DePuy Spine, and Johnson & Johnson.
CEO Mark Perrin said Toselli is joining the firm at a pivotal time.
“His deep industry experience paired with his medical training as a spine trauma neurosurgeon make him an invaluable asset as we look to finish enrollment of our pivotal probably benefit study and file for marketing approval,” he said.
Toselli received a bachelor of arts from Providence College, holds a medical degree from Brown University, and a master of business administration from the UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
