The VWR Science Portal provides customers with access to the Scientist.com supplier network, including more than 2,200 contract research organizations (CROs).

Scientist.com's online marketplace enables researchers to connect with technical experts in thousands of research areas to purchase custom services and products without legal or finance delay, said Kevin Lustig, PhD, co-founder and CEO of Scientist.com.

This allows scientists to test their ideas more quickly and cheaply,” he told Outsourcing-Pharma.com.

The goal of the collaboration with VWR, which provides product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, is to create a “one-stop shop” for scientists to find and purchase services or products through The VWR Science portal powered by Scientist.com.

Working together with its 13 large pharmaceutical partners and VWR, Scientist.com has been steadily expanding its service offerings to include translational and clinical research services, such as human biospecimen acquisition, biomarker analysis, real world evidence (RWE) and toxicology,” added Lustig.

Scientist.com has offices in San Diego and Boston and recently opened an office in England. The company plans to expand to Japan in 2018.
