API distributor American International Chemical bought by private equity firm

Investment firm LeBaronBrown Llc has acquired American International Chemical Inc (AIC), a distributor of ingredients for the pharmaceutical sector and other industries.
Framingham, Massachusetts-based AIC supplies a range of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) to the drug industry, including analgesics, antibiotics, steroids and anaesthetics.
It also sells a line of biochemical products including DNA/RNA Synthesis Reagents and ACS Reagents through its advanced technology division.
AIC has a network of 15 warehouses across the US.
AIC joins Charkit Chemical Company LLC, a manufacturer of chemicals for the drug industry and other sectors, in LeBaronBrown’s portfolio.
