UPM Pharmaceuticals
The CDMO, which focuses on solid oral and semi-solid drug dosage forms, has appointed Daniel Dixon to the position of vice president of quality control.
In this role, Dixon will oversee UPM's analytical testing and development groups as well as the microbiological and raw material testing labs.

As the VP of quality control for UPM, Dixon told us he wants “to highlight and utilize the diversity of educations, backgrounds, and skills” that the company has in its labs.
“I want to accomplish this by compartmentalizing the tremendous skill sets our quality control group possesses and mold these small groups into intensely focused units,” he said.
“Establishing multiple teams of carefully selected abilities and disciplines will allow the laboratories great adaptability and versatility. Building cohesion between these individuals and teams will place the department and ultimately the company on a path to strong growth and success.”
