World Courier has created personalized supply chain teams to support direct-to-patient, cell and gene therapy, and clinical trials execution as the company experiences double-digit growth.

The specialty logistics company, part of AmerisourceBergen, has opened new offices Chengdu, China; Manila, Philippines; Vilnius, Lithuania; Belgrade, Serbia. The company is also expanding its facilities in Feltham, UK, and Boston, US.

Additionally, World Courier has introduced personalized supply chain teams to support direct-to-patient, cell and gene therapy, and clinical trials execution. The teams will work directly with customers to offer project management and customer service support.

“These urgent and critical products require a hands-on approach and the highest level of coordination, as minor delays can have a detrimental impact for the patient, sponsor and study,” said World Courier’s President Sam Herbert.

“The specific teams, fully devoted to these specialist areas, enable us to garner a more granular understanding of our customers’ needs while building scalable solutions,” he told us.

The company has seen double-digit growth in the areas of direct-to-patient, cell and gene therapy and specialty commercial supply chain, Herbert explained.

Additionally, he said the company has experienced an increasing demand for its services in emerging markets, such as Chengdu, China, Manila, Philippines, Vilnius, Lithuania, and Belgrade, Serbia.
