People on the Move
Center Point Clinical Services
The specialty, siteless, technology contract research organization (CRO) has named Gerald Finken – who is also the company’s founder and chairman of the board – as its new CEO.
Finken told us he has three goals that he hopes to achieve in his new role as CEO of Center Point Clinical Services. The first is to “reposition the activities of Center Point to leverage the next generation of clinical research that will require companies to be virtually-based and patient-connected.”
As part of this, the company has moved its headquarters to Fargo, ND.
“The second goal focuses outward,” said Finken. “I would like to inspire the healthcare industry to incorporate the role of the pharmacist and the practice of pharmacy into clinical research to greatly reduce costs, shorten timelines and improve upon the outcomes currently associated with clinical trials.”
In addition to moving its headquarters, the company is also launching a new “specialty” Clinical Trial Research Pharmacist (CTRP) program. The program addresses Finken’s third goal, which he said has to do with his aspirations as pharmacist.
“I would like to help lead the disruption of our current healthcare model first in the US and then globally to make it more affordable and accessible to everyone,” he said.
