The collaboration will integrate the functionality of Clinerion’s Patient Network Explorer with Semicrol’s Fundanet clinical trial management system (CTMS).

Clinerion’s Patient Network Explorer collates patient insights from anonymized patient records via its global partner hospital network.

“Both companies are on the edge of technology to provide solutions to simplify the clinical trial process in Europe and Latin America, so we are a natural fit,” said Clinerion CEO Ian Rentsch.

“The collaboration came through as a desire to solve the global need of investigational sites to simplify the internal process of managing clinical trials,” he told us.

This includes patient identification for clinical feasibilities – “making the sites more attractive for having the right patients” – to clinical trial data reporting and giving patients access to best-in-class treatment, Rentsch said.

According to the companies, the integration of the platforms will automate the sharing of patient data from a hospital’s electronic health records (EHR) system to the CTMS running the clinical trial.
