After making waves with its launch in June, Javara this week has signed a letter of intent to design an operating model to integrate clinical trials at a medical center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Javara and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC) will work together to make industry-sponsored clinical trials more accessible to WFBMC patients.

According to the company, which was launched earlier this year, WFBMC leaders and Javara will work together over the next several months to define and launch an implementation strategy that will “more effectively engage patients in clinical research.”

Terry G. Williams, executive vice president and chief strategy officer, WFBMC, in a press release said: “Wake Forest Baptist is committed to providing leading access to industry, NIH and other advanced clinical trials for truly exceptional and unparalleled care to our patients.”

The center’s newly solidified relationship with Javara is “a key step to expanding the impact of that commitment,” he explained.

Javara CEO Jennifer Byrne called the announcement “a milestone moment in healthcare and the clinical trial enterprise with Wake Forest Baptist Health.”

She added, “We look forward to navigating a new journey together in the mission to better integrate clinical research as an option within the continuum of care for patients.”
