The April 6 webinar, Clinical Development Innovations, will touch upon artificial intelligence, machine learning, ethics and other impactful issues.

In the face of increasingly complex data, pressures to get therapies to market as rapidly as possible, desire to decrease patient burden, COVID-19-created obstacles, and other challenges, clinical research professionals are under a great deal of pressure. Any technology or tools that empower them to accomplish their work more effectively, efficiently, and ethically can be a huge help.

In Outsourcing-Pharma’s April 6 webinar, Clinical Development Innovations, we’ll be sharing insightful information from a trio of leading experts, each offering perspective from a different facet of clinical research. Register for the event, then join us at 10 am CST (5 pm CET) to hear about innovations and ideas that stand to elevate the industry.

Jean-Enno Charton, director of bioethics and digital ethics, Merck

Earlier this year, Merck announced the formation of its Digital Ethics Advisory Panel. Intended to supplement the work of its Bioethics Advisory Panel, which offers guidance on bioethical questions. During his presentation, Charton will discuss the creation of the panel, its mission, and how addressing such questions is an important matter for clinical research.

Ignacio Fuentes, managing director, MIT Jameel Clinic

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other advanced technologies already are leading to rapid, dramatic advancements in the life sciences. The MIT Jameel Clinic is one of the noted institutions helping to develop and apply AI and ML technology to help advance drug discovery and development.

Nikhil Joshi, CEO, Clinical Trial Hero

Identifying, recruiting, and engaging patients stands among the most challenging, yet important, aspects of clinical research. Joshi will be telling us about the Clinical Trial Hero app, which uses smartphone technology to help patients connect with trials they could potentially enroll in, located near their homes.

I will be handling the moderation of the event—introducing the three speakers, then leading a Q&A session during the last portion of the hour. There is no cost to register and attend the 60-minute presentation, thanks to the generous contribution to our event sponsors:

  • AIC, an LBB Specialties Company
  • Florence
  • PerkinElmer Inc.

Hundreds of your colleagues have already signed up for the event; I hope you will be there, too. Please feel free to share the registration page link with others in the clinical research field. We at OSP are looking forward to the webinar, and we know you will find the hour spent at the webinar well worth your time.
