UK microbial testing company Celsis International announced this week that food giant Nestle has selected Celsis' recently launched milk and cream diagnostic system for its global Research & Development site in Konolfingen.

The installation of the new Celsis CellScan system for testing milk and cream based products follows other Celsis products already in use at Nestle sites.

"This agreement provides solid evidence that our restructured European business model is working as planned." said Jay LeCoque, chief executive officer of Celsis. "It also highlights the increasing acceptance of Celsis' superior technology over other product offerings among major blue chip companies."

The Celsis CellScan system, specifically developed for the dairy industry to detect and measure contamination, provides high throughput screening and has the ability to process up to 384 samples per hour.
