Efficient Freezing & Storage of Biopharmaceuticals
Various options exist for freezing biopharmaceutical bulk material, but selecting the most effective and efficient approach for each cold chain can be confusing.
Options for freezing may focus on deep freezing or long-term storage to maintain temperature.
To address this concern, we present evidence that plate freezers offer a comprehensive, consistent, and rapid freezing (and thawing) process, which preserves the quality of valuable drug substances. But plate freezers also outperform standard options in terms of overall costs, establishing them as the optimal selection for freezing.
