Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCTs) span a broad spectrum of designs and iterations, with most models currently being a hybrid trial that includes some aspects of both digitally enabled and decentralized approaches. In this new article, PPD provides experience-based insight into the successful design, implementation, and site launch of DCTs. While sites may experience some challenges, sponsors and CROs can take steps to support site staff. Working with a DCT vendor — one who is reliable, consistent, has a proven track record, and delivers high quality — is crucial for success.
