Optimizing vessel geometry for mag drive agitators

The performance of a bottom mount magnetically driven agitator (mag drive mixer) is heavily dependent on its relationship with the vessel’s geometry, baffles, impeller characteristics and the desired process results. Mag drive mixers have been widely used in the pharmaceutical industry due to their ability to offer high levels of containment and isolation. This article discusses the vessel geometry that is recommended to maximize the process results.
