Merck Millipore launches new CHO media
Merck Millipore has launched a new growth media for CHO-S cell that it claims boosts productivity and batch to batch consistency
The media – Cellvento CHO -100 – is designed to support the growth of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells used in industrial scale protein production operations. The product contains no ingredients of animal origin and contains no hydrolysates or components of unknown composition.
Antoine Heron, Head of Biopharm Materials & Technologies at Merck Millipore, said the media "delivers outstanding lot-to-lot consistency in physico-chemical characteristics as well as in growth and production profiles, optimizing the cell culture process and allowing manufacturers to bring protein products to market faster."
