News from Tgas, ACRO and Camargo – People on the move
The Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) has named Jeffery McMullen as chairman of the board.
McMullen is currently president and CEO of inVentiv subsidiary, PharmaNet/i3.
He returns to his role at ACRO after serving as chair back in 2007.
"Jeff is the first ACRO board member to twice be elected chairman, which is a strong testament to his vision and leadership, as well as the high regard in which he is held by his peers," said Doug Peddicord, executive director of the organisation.
TGaS Advisors has promoted four of its employees as part of its latest leadership shake-up.
Peter Bittinger has become the new senior VP. Formerly VP of operations and analytics, Bittinger will now be responsible for the development of proprietary data and analytic systems.
Once VP, management advisor, Gary McWalters is now senior VP of the firm’s newly created group marketing advisory practice, designed to work with marketing operations, marketing sciences and digital relationship marketing.
Don Paras, who leads the marketing operations practice, has been named executive director. He will continue in his current capacity in addition to his new role.
Similarly Brian Deppen, from the managed markets team, will become an executive director.
The firm, who offer benchmarking and advisory services for pharmaceutical commercial operations, has also appointed six new members to its board and management team.
Health care advertising providers AbelsonTaylor has appointed three new directors in Mike Williams, Leo Kosir, and Rick Conrad.
Kosir, the firm’s new digital associate creative director, will be work with products for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, hormone replacement, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), migraine headaches, Hepatitis C, skin structure infections, high cholesterol and triglycerides.
He takes his new role after serving as the company’s senior digital art director.
Williams joined the agency last year as senior art director. He will become associate creative director of art.
And fellow associate creative director of art Conrad is new to Abelson Taylor. He was most recently VP, creative and interactive director, at SPM Marketing & Communications.
Camargo Pharmaceutical Services, a development service provider specializing in the 505(b)(2) process, has named Mark Bolin as VP of corporate development.
Prior to Camargo, Bolin served as a founding member and CFO of Ricetta Rx Holdings.
“Camargo’s recent expansion with the opening of our Durham, US, office and the potential to open additional offices will extend our company’s reach to clients around the globe, while making our extensive regulatory expertise available to meet the increasing demand in formulation, preclinical and clinical services,” said Ken Phelps, president and CEO.
“Mark will serve as the business arm and his substantial experience setting companies up for growth via financial and operational management will be an asset to Camargo.”
