Contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) DPT Laboratories has named JJ Feik as its senior director of business development. Previously, Feik was director of marketing and corporate development at the San Antonio firm.
PPD has named Mike Wilkinson as executive vice president (EVP) and chief information officer. Wilkinson worked for the past two years as EVP of global clinical development at PPD. Before joining PPD, Wilkinson worked at Eli Lilly for 14 years.
Laurie Heilmann has joined specialist imaging contract research organization (CRO) ACR Image Metrix as its new director of Business Development. Before joining ACR, Heilmann held positions at Ockham Development Group and Spacelabs Medical.
Deirdre Gillespie, CEO of La Jolla Pharmaceutical, has been appointed to the board of directors of drug delivery focused CRO NexMed. Dr Gillespie has previously served as head of UK-based Oxxon Therapeutics and, prior to that, as Vical’s chief operating officer.
CRO ResearchPoint has hired Stacey Arrambide as its new biostatistics and data management head. Before joining the firm, Arrambide was vice president of data management at inVentiv Clinical Solutions in the US
17-year contract research industry veteran John Pottier has joined trials firm CEDRA as its new senior director of business development. Pottier has held positions at Novum Pharmaceutical Research, PRACS and Cetero Research.
Contract chemicals manufacturer Chemspec International has appointed Kevin Wu as an independent director and member of its audit committee. Dr Wu currently serves as director of Celanese’s emulsion division in the Asia Pacific region.
Donald Kraft, senior VP of human resources at Covance has resigned but will continue to work with the contract research organisation as a consultant. Kraft has been at Covance since 2002.
