Date set for major outsourcing conference

Registration is now open for the annual "Pharmaceutical Outsourcing
of Discovery Chemistry, Advanced Intermediates and API's"
conference, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The US event will take place on July 17-18 at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson, New Jersey.

"For those seeking partners, the yearly conference has become a viable alternative or complement to Informex and CPHI, with a much greater focus on pharma needs and fine chemicals in general,"​ said Mark Alexay, executive vice president of life sciences at Strategic Research Institute - the organisers of the event.

"It has now expanded beyond chemistry to include the best in contract manufacturing as well as custom synthesis."

The conference will feature in-depth coverage of the global pharmaceutical industry's increasingly complex web of suppliers for custom synthesis, fine chemicals, manufacturing, and other related contract services. Bigwigs from many of the industries top international firms have confirmed their participation.

Areas covered will include globalisation; strategic outsourcing; emerging markets, including Indian and China; virtual outsourcing; production of cytotoxic active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), discovery chemistry outsourcing and formulation development.

Big names - such as Abbott Labs, Novartis, Sanofi-Aventis, Schering, ChemDiv, Purdue Pharma, Beijing Honghui Meditech, PharmaCore, DOV Pharmaceutical, Hoffmann La-Roche, Wyeth, Johnson & Johnson, Genzyme, Helsinn, Chembiotek, Targegen, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, InterChem, Bionumerik and Rondaxe Pharma - will all be represented.
