GVK Biosciences, one of Asia’s top contract research organisations, has appointed Dr. Shoibal Mukherjee to the post of senior vice president, clinical development. Prior to joining GVK Bio, Mukherjee held senior positions at Ranbaxy and Pfizer.
The appointment of Joerg Reinhardt as chief operating officer of Novartis has prompted speculation that chief executive Daniel Vasella might step down. Vasella played down the suggestion in an interview with Reuters.
