Appointments at inVentiv and GVK Biosciences – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round of movements in the pharmaceutical outsourcing sector, including appointments at inVentiv and GVK Biosciences.

Dan Feldman ​has been appointed to lead inVentiv Health’s ​newly established sales operation in Japan. Feldman has more than 20 years experience in pharmaceutical sales and delivering outsourced services.

Before joining inVentiv Feldman worked at Merck-Banyu in Japan. He also founded Churchill Communications, the first healthcare communications business in Japan.

inVentiv believes Japan represents a significant opportunity for it to grow its outsourced sales business and Feldman will be responsible for leading this effort.

GVK Biosciences ​has appointed Gerhard Mayr​ to its board of directors. Mayr worked for Eli Lilly for more than 32 years in various senior management positions and helped expand the company’s operations in several regions.

In addition Mayr is a member of the board at Lonza and a special advisor to Codexis.

Biologics Consulting Group​, a company offering advice on topics including regulatory affairs, has made executive appointments. Michael Salgaller​ has joined the company as president and CEO having previously worked at Calibrant Biosystems.

The company has also appointed Holly Scott​ as one of its consultants. Scott joins the company from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Florida District, where she worked as a field investigator.

Cold Chain Technologies​, a provider of temperature control packaging services, has appointed Raffaele Potami​ as senior mechanical engineer. Potami will be involved in special R&D projects, thermal design optimisation and applications of the predictive modelling software KoolDesigns.

Health Decisions ​has appointed Craig Hurt​ as controller. Hurt has more than 17 years experience in accounting and will be responsible for creating the corporate infrastructure that will allow the company to meet its increased productivity goals.
