Appointments West Pharmaceutical Services, Unilife and ACR Image Metrix – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments West Pharmaceutical Services, Unilife and ACR Image Metrix.

Imaging contract research organisation (CRO) ACR Image Metrix​ has appointed Jaskaran Boparai ​as clinical project manager. Boparai has previously worked at the American College of Radiology Imaging Network and South Jersey Radiology Associates.

Jeffrey Hunt ​has been named as vice president (VP), strategic planning and business development at West Pharmaceutical Services​. Hunt joins from Coviden and has also worked at Tyco Healthcare/Kendall.

Unilife ​has expanded its management team by employing Christopher Naftzger ​as general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer. Before joining Unilife Naftzger worked at Chesapeake and has also held positions at Koch Industries and Blank Rome.

David Gelber ​has joined pharmaceutical firm Avrio Biopharmaceuticals​ as director of manufacturing. Before joining Avrio Gelber was director of operations at AAI Development Services.

Pharma consulting firm Compliance Implementation Services (CIS) ​has hired Jamie Ghen ​as director of compliance, ethics and legal affairs. Ghen joins from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP where she focused on pharma compliance, government investigations and litigation.

Khawar Mehdi ​has resigned from his position of director, medical affairs at PharmEvo​ and its affiliate CRO Clinision​.

IMS Health ​has named Sati Sian ​as general manager of its China operations, reporting to Gilles Pajot. Sian joined IMS more than two decades, most recently leading IMS teams responsible for assessing the productivity and effectiveness of clients’ commercial execution.
