BBK is looking to bring balance to the doctor, patient relationship by improving lines of communication and the productivity of office visits with its online resource, Clinical Notifier.

The “patient experience company” BBK Worldwide is partnering with Zaggo, a nonprofit organization dedicated to patients and caregivers.

Under the partnership, Zaggo will contribute to Clinical Notifier, BBK’s free web-based resource that provides news, tools, educational content, and clinical study opportunities.

BBK’s Founding Principal and CEO Joan Bachenheimer said it is important for BBK to have content applicable to all as an anchor for the site’s resource section.

As BBK aims to provide features on specific conditions, it will partner with other advocacy groups for relevant content, she told us.

“Zaggo has created a tool kit that takes the stressful overload of information so often associated with managing illness and organizes this for the patient. Moreover, it provides a much-needed sense of control and preparedness,” Bachenheimer explained.

According to BBK, studies repeatedly reveal how important care provider and patient relationships are to satisfaction and compliance.

“Open lines of communication and the productivity of each office visit is Zaggo’s goal — and the content of the Zaggo kit has the validity of someone who knows what it is like to carve a path through the trenches of disease management,” said Bachenheimer.

“Inherently, there is an imbalance in the doctor/patient relationship with the former having the knowledge base and the latter attempting to absorb often unfamiliar content.”

Bachenheimer said the Zaggo kit is a valuable tool to help bridge that gap.
