Appointments PharmaNet, Cardinal Health, CTI, Norwich, Diteba and Catalent – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments PharmaNet, Cardinal Health, CTI, Norwich, Diteba and Catalent.

PharmaNet Development Group​ has appointed Steven Leventer​ as vice president (VP), clinical research neuroscience. Leventer has more than 20 years experience in drug development and pharma companies and contract research organisations (CRO).

James Mongan ​has joined the board of directors at Cardinal Health​. Mongan was president and CEO of Partners HealthCare System until December 2009 and has also worked at Massachusetts General Hospital.

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services​ has recently promoted a number of employees. Niko Kitsinis ​has been promoted to systems administrator and Nick Schatzman ​and Lauren Arlinghaus ​have both taken the position of senior research associate.

In addition, Stephanie Ploetz​ has become project manager and Laura Wright ​has been promoted to the position of quality assurance specialist.

Norwich Pharmaceuticals​ has appointed John Bender ​and James Kwon​ as directors of business development. Bender was VP, business development at Fluid Air Inc/Pharmpro, where he spent 14 years.

Kwon has more than 12 years experience in biotech and pharma, most recently as director of business development at AAIPharma. He has also held positions at MDS Pharma Services, Nexon Research and Ostex International.

Contract analytical anfd bioanalytical testing firm Diteba Research Laboratories​ has appointed Sam Ricchezza​ as senior VP of business development.

Ricchezza has worked in a number of similar roles at various contract development and manufacturing organisation over the last 14 years, including Patheon, DPT Laboratories, WellSpring Pharmaceutical and AAIPharma.

US CMO Catalent Pharma Solutions​ has named Kurt Nielsen​ as chief technology officer and senior VP of innovation and growth.

Dr Nielsen, who most recently served as executive VP of URLMutual Pharmaceutical, has previously worked for Teva Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Consumer Products subsidiary.
