Pistoia Alliance
The non-profit innovation group Pistoia Alliance has made Richard Holland Executive Director of Operations.
Pistoia Alliance is a cross-company organisation with big pharma members including AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb, as well as public research institutes and technology companies. It aims to overcome the obstacles to innovation in life sciences R&D at a pre-competitive stage by “improving the interoperability of R&D business processes.” In practice, this means bringing together members of the pharmaceutical industry to identify the root causes that lead to inefficiency, and developing best practices and technology to lower these barriers.
New director Richard Holland will take charge of its new project portfolio. He will leave Eagle Genomics, where he spent the last six years, to begin the new role next month.
