NICE
The UK Government’s Department of Health has appointed Tim Irish non-executive director of NICE, the country’s health authority. His three-year term begins today.
Irish has worked for 30 years in British and international healthcare industries. Most recently, he was Chairman of the Nexstim, a medical tech company focused on stroke rehabilitation. He has also held senior roles at medical product companies Phillips Medical and GE Medical.
Irish said this is a “fascinating time” to join NICE, adding it “plays a hugely important role in helping the NHS and social care organisations to deliver the best care available.”
NICE is led by a board of nine non-executive directors and a chair, who are all appointed by the Secretary of State, plus four executive directors.
