Synergy Pharmaceuticals
GI drug company Synergy Pharmaceuticals has appointed Timothy Callahan and Richard Daly as independent board directors.
Both men have spent their careers in primary care and gastrointestinal markets.
Callahan (pictured) is a veteran of Actavis, serving most recently as Senior VP, Commercial Operations, following stints as VP of International Brands and Biologics Marketing and of Nephrology Sales and Marketing. He began his 21-year career at Watson Pharmaceuticals and Schein Pharmaceutical.
Richard Daly worked until recently as President of US Diabetes for the joint alliance between Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca. He was a founding partner of SagePath Patners, a pharmaceutical outsourcing company which was bought by Ashfield Commercial & Medical Services in 2013.
His longest tenure was 13 years at Takeda, where he was Executive Vice President with profit and loss responsibility for the company’s North and South American businesses. He has also worked at Merrell-Dow (now part of Sanofi) and TAP Pharmaceuticals.
