Boehringer Ingelheim
Boehringer Ingelheim has replaced chairman of the board of managing directors Andreas Barner (pictured) with Hubertus von Baumbach. Barner will retire from his current role in July next year and will become a member of the shareholders’ committee. He has worked at Boehringer for 24 years, beginning as head of the medical division and joining the board of managing directors in 1999.
Von Baumbach has been on the board of MDs since 2009 and is head of the finance division of the corporate board. He previously worked at Roche in the US and at Boehringer Ingelhem in Canada and Germany.
Michel Pairet, who helps manage respiratory research and the corporate venture fund, is set to become member of the board of managing directors in January, with responsibility for corporate board division research and non-clinical development.
