Communications for Roche, Novartis, ABPI and more
Three pharmaceutical communications agencies have made hires this week.
Healthcare advertising agency Langland, whose clients include Abbott, Celgene, Novartis, and Roche, has hired Adrian Zambardino as Director of Planning. This is his first advertising job in the pharmaceutical field; his past clients at agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and DMB&B included Kellogg's, Cadbury’s, and BP’s sponsorship of the 2012 London Olympics.
Matt Worrall will join the Health division of communications firm Portland. He vacates a position at Hanover, where he worked with pharmaceutical companies and the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).
Before his role at Hanover, Worrall was head of communications at the Royal College of Surgeons. He has also worked on media campaigns and stakeholder relations for the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).
Portland recently gained a twelfth client, winning the ABPI Pharmaceutical Diabetes Initiative, a campaign to raise public awareness of diabetes management.
Red Door Communications, a UK healthcare public relations agency, has hired Sandie Dinning, former MD of The Phoenix Consultancy, to launch a youth and community programme on behalf of pharmaceutical clients. Dinning’s past accounts include Novo Nordisk and Astra Zeneca.
