Amgen
Amgen has announced Elliot Levy’s appointment as Senior VP, Global Development.
Levy comes to Amgen from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was Senior VP of Specialty Development. His 17-year career in clinical development also includes heading up Global Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology for BMS.
Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Levy trained in medicine at Yale, and completed fellowship training in clinical research through the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars program. He began his career at the Renal Division of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, where he was an investigator in federal- and industry-sponsored clinical trials.
Amgen set in motion earlier this year plans to slash 23% of its manufacturing footprint by cutting almost 3,000 US jobs and closing two production facilities.
