The clinical trial management tech company’s EnvisiX is designed to help sponsors and CROs address budgeting challenges.

Integrated with Greenphire’s eClinicalGPS site payment technology, EnvisiX is designed to help users increase efficiency and accuracy for streamlined, optimized studies. It is intended to help deal with budgeting challenges sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs) tend to face during study startup.

Ease of collaboration

According to the company, integrating with eClinicalGPS makes it possible to smoothly collaborate across an operation and through an end-to-end workflow, from budget creation and negotiation, to management, execution, and tracking of global investigator grants within one platform. Jim Murphy, Greenphire CEO, told Outsourcing-Pharma that EnvisiX’s integration with the site-payment platform leads to a number of benefits.

This integration ensures seamless collaboration through an end-to-end workflow from budget creation and negotiation to management, execution and tracking of global investigator grants - all within one application,” he said. “Sponsors who use EnvisiX can accelerate study startup by eliminating the guesswork and streamlining budget build and modification processes to deliver smarter, more efficient trials.”

Overcoming challenges

Murphy explained that EnvisiX enables sponsors and CROs to steer clear some of the challenges typically associated with the study startup and budgeting processes.

With the global nature and complexity of clinical trials, the study start-up process has historically been very difficult to automate,” he said. “Study planning teams have relied on frustrating manual processes and spreadsheets to manage these crucial activities.”

Other issues, Murphy pointed out, include difficulty in tracking spreadsheets, working with incomplete data, reliance on inaccessible or unmanageable formats, and more.

Additionally, Murphy said, EnvisiX is intended to help trial professionals improve site readiness.

Without fit-for-purpose technology, it can take months for sites to receive their first payment post CTA sign-off; for these often-small businesses, the start-up investment of staff, equipment and more can be financially taxing,” he explained.

Using EnvisiX, all manual effort on the part of the sponsor is eliminated, and the straight-through technology allows for the immediate ability to distribute funds to sites upon start up and throughout the life of the trial using our investigator payment solution, eClinicalGPS," Murphy added.
