Adele Gulfo has left a senior role in emerging markets at Pfizer and joined Mylan as executive VP of global collaboration and strategic operations to help its expansion into Latin America.
The company has plans to grow its Latin American presence, “particularly in Brazil through our acquisition of the Agila injectables business,” Nina Devlin, communications VP, told In-PharmaTechnologist.com
At Pfizer, Gulfo was regional president of Latin America, leading over 4,000 employees in 23 countries. In 2012, the Latin American business earned more than $3 billion, the greatest revenue of Pfizer’s emerging markets.
Earlier in her career at Pfizer, Gulfo helped launch cholesterol drug Lipitor, now the world's best-selling medicine.
