GE Olympics
Sticking with those famous five rings, GE Healthcare also ranks as an official partner of the Olympics, supplying Diagnostic Imaging, Monitoring and Electronic Medical Records Technology at this year’s Sochi Games, as well as London 2012.
In London, the firm backed the GE Healthcare Polyclinic in the Olympic Village that offered imaging technology including a CT scanner, a wireless digital x-ray system and ultrasound scanners to provide high quality imaging to help diagnose any injuries that occurred.
According to data from the clinic, the most common body part to receive a scan during the London Games was the knee at 17%, followed by the spine (13.2%) and the ankles (12.9%).
And GE Healthcare will be present at the Rio Games in 2016.
